Share the blood
Another way to help Taylor and patients like her is to donate blood or platelets at a South Texas Blood & Tissue Center donor room or mobile drive. Your donations are administered during chemotherapy to help replenish crucial blood cells lost during treatment. We encourage all eligible donors to help save the lives of patients by stopping by or scheduling your donation.

Taylor is a mother of 3 who is battling acute myeloid leukemia.
Just six months after giving birth to her youngest child, Taylor went to the doctor with an ear infection. After testing, she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
Taylor recently underwent seven consecutive days of chemo treatment, and stayed in the hospital for 3 weeks. During her treatment, she received 14 platelet, 2 plasma, and 6 whole blood transfusions.
Her best hope for a cure is a bone marrow transplant.
